Trifecta

Hello, hungry people.

Just a quick follow-up to yesterday’s Kentucky Derby post.

Had you placed a $1 bet on the winning trifecta of Golden Dream-Renegade-Ocelli, you would have won $11,520.78. A nice little payout.

We had our own trifecta winner at the Morris derby party. That would be the ever-glamorous Poppy Stella Morris, 6, shown above in her green fascinator and leopard PJs.

Poppy pulled all three top winners in our blind draw and walked away with $20.

Upon claiming the pot, Ms. Morris, who makes her living as a kindergartener, immediately gave $1 to each of the other bettors to “make them feel better.” She then made chocolate milkshakes for everyone with whipped cream and cherries on top.

This concludes our coverage of the 2026 Kentucky Derby.
